Italian luxury brand Gucci has announced the opening of a new store in East Hampton, New York, marking the company’s return to the Hamptons in a permanent capacity following a series of pop-ups in recent years.

Located at 17 Newtown Lane, East Hampton, the two-floor boutique spans a total of 2,000 square feet and offers a wide range of Gucci products, including men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, footwear, childrenswear, and accessories, including handbags, luggage, small leather goods and eyewear, as well as jewelry and watches.

The store’s aesthetic combines traditional and modern elements to create a contemporary, eclectic feel that fits seamlessly into the East Hampton landscape. The interior features aqua-toned moiré walls and hand-stained wood flooring, furnished with velvet armchairs, polished nickel and aged brass fixtures, Gucci Décor paneled screens and wicker accents.

As pointed out by Gucci in a release, the brand has “a storied history with the area.” Most recently, the brand hosted a caravan at East Hampton staple Moby’s Market last year, while in 2025, the label collaborated with vintage store Melet Mercantile and its Montauk Outpost on a temporary retail destination in Montauk, New York. Gucci previously had a permanent location on Main Street, East Hampton, from 2006 to 2009.

To celebrate its opening, Gucci’s new store in East Hampton is offering an exclusive, limited-edition capsule collection featuring bags and small leather goods, including an oversized tote, a drawstring bucket bag and a rectangular zip pouch.

Pieces in the capsule are made from an organic red and beige jacquard fabric and are finished with embroidered white “G” accents, blue leather trim and a leather logo embossed with “The Hamptons” in gold.

Gucci currently operates more than 480 stores around the world, some 100 of which are in North America.
