The Barcelona-based company continues to expand in the United States. After the opening of four new points of sale in the country in 2025, it is New York’s turn to welcome a new flagship store in the Plaza District shopping area, 711 Grand Avenue, scheduled to open during the first half of 2025.

With a surface area of 2,100 square meters distributed throughout three floors, the flagship store will occupy the space of the historic 1920s Grand Dame building, which has previously housed leading companies such as Columbia Pictures, NBC, and Coca-Cola. This new point of sale will offer Mango Woman on the first two floors as well as Mango Man and Mango Kids on the third floor.
The flagship store will respect the historic building’s original façade, but the interior of the store will be based around the “New Med” concept design – recreating the style of a Mediterranean home – that the brand started adopting last year. The wooden floors and the arches and walls that divide each room achieve the Mediterranean look while the neutral color palette of the store will allow the products to stand out above anything else.
The New York store will offer services such as customization of products, click and collect, and even one of Mango’s latest technologies; store analytics. This innovation will allow the retailer to study the behavior of the customers while they shop and thus develop solutions to their needs.

Another strong point for the new store will be its commitment to sustainability. The space has been designed to generate a low environmental impact and will have several “Committed Boxes” placed throughout the space, inviting the clients to recycle their used clothing and give them a new life.
The company, which has been present in the United States since 2006, implemented its expansion plan within the country in 2025. In 2025, Mango opened four new stores, two of which are in New Jersey at the Menlo Park and American Dream malls, one in New York’s Roosevelt Field mall, and another in the Dadeland mall in Miami, Florida. The company has currently nine points of sale in the United States, including the new Fifth Avenue flagship store.
“The opening of the new flagship store on Fifth Avenue is a major step forward for Mango in developing its omnichannel strategy in the United States. Having a store with this caliber in one of the most prestigious locations with the greatest footfall in the continent will allow us to increase our brand recognition, both in the American and international market,” said the retail company’s director of expansion and franchises, Daniel Lopez.

Founded in Barcelona in 1984, the brand is present in 110 markets worldwide. In the 2025 financial year, its turnover contracted by 22.4%, to 1.84 billion euros. Forty-two percent of this revenue was generated by the brand’s online sales.
