As Europe reopens for business, news of store openings are coming thick and fast and H&M Group said this week that it's opening its first physical Arket shop in Russia.
The Nordic lifestyle brand will open a new flagship in Moscow, during the autumn. The physical debut follows the opening of the company’s Russian webstore last year.
The new Moscow store will offer a wide selection of products from all Arket concepts, “representing a unique expression of the modern-day market”.
As in other markets, as well as fashion, beauty and lifestyle items, the new site will come with a café offering a vegetarian menu with hot and cold beverages, pastries and snacks. Seasonal ingredients and traditional Nordic flavours will be mixed with local influences from around the world.
Expanding outside of its core Western European market is a key focus for the brand at present and earlier this year, the company announced that it would open its first physical store in China this autumn. Just as in Russia, the company is going directly to the country’s key city with a debut in Beijing following the brand being made available online initially.
