Eleven representatives of Armenian made a winning start at the Yerevan Mayor Cup international boxing tournament being held in the Armenian capital.

And Team Armenia’s Baregham Harutyunyan (48 kg), Edmond Khudoyan (48 kg), Rudolf Garboyan (51 kg), Artur Sahakyan (60 kg), Artyush Gomchyan (63.5 kg), Manvel Petrosyan (63.5 kg), Hayk Tadevosyan (67 kg), Armen Mashakaryan (67 kg), Harutyun Hakobkokhyan (71 kg), and Andranik Sedrakyan (71 kg) won their opening bouts.
The Yerevan Mayor Cup has been included in the official tournament calendar of European Boxing Confederation (EUBC) for the first time.
Representatives from Armenia, Cyprus, Israel, Russia, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Palestine, and Moldova are competing in the tournament.
And Team Armenia is participating in this tournament with 30 boxers.
