Safilo continues to strengthen its position in Asia. After signing a distribution deal for Thailand and Cambodia with Supreme Eyewear in November 2025, the Italian eyewear group has established a foothold in Taiwan, having inked a distribution deal with local group Luxasia. The Taiwanese group is the largest retail and omni-channel distributor for cosmetics and fragrances in Asia, and is now expanding across new categories, including fashion accessories, jewellery and apparel.
"Taiwan has good potential in both the Lifestyle and Luxury sectors, and is especially receptive for our leading brands Polaroid and Carrera," said Luisa Delgado, CEO of Safilo, who is set to be replaced from 1st April by Angelo Trocchia.
The Italian eyewear group operates subsidiaries in forty countries, and features in its portfolio the licences for Fendi, Dior and Elie Saab eyewear. In 2025, Safilo generated a revenue of €1.047 billion, down 16.4% compared to the previous year.
