Three thousand and growing. That’s the number of InPost locker locations now available to UK consumers to collect, send, and return parcels after the addition of a trio of major name retailers.

That figure has been significantly boosted with shopping centres Westfield London and Stratford City and the UK’s biggest retailer Tesco coming on board, joining over 100 major retailers including Missguided, Boohoo to JD Sports.
The out-of-home e-commerce delivery said these major additions “marks a critical step for InPost and its mission towards providing communities with convenient, accessible, and greener delivery options”.
The service now means the majority of city dwellers in London, Birmingham and Manchester are within one mile of a locker.
The company also said it’s on track to deploy one of the largest automated parcel networks in the UK, with over 10,000 locker units in operation by 2025.
“Parcel lockers offer consumers a quick and convenient way to collect and return items, while also directly impacting the number of last-mile deliveries on UK streets, helping to reduce carbon emissions”, the company noted.
Jason Tavaria, CEO of InPost UK added: “This year alone we’ve installed nearly two thousand parcel lockers across the UK, responding to growing interest from retailers and landlords looking to bolster their environmental performance.
“Lifestyles and shopping habits have irrevocably changed during the pandemic, and our rapid growth reflects this shift. Consumers demand convenient options that fit around their new working routines, as well as those that prioritise sustainability. Retailers, landlords and consumers alike must work together to encourage more people towards greener delivery services like lockers, and we’re proud to be leading the charge.”
