Sony Pictures is in talks with Eddie Murphy to star in the action comedy Blue Falcon, Deadline reports.

The studio has acquired a script from Chad St. John, the writer of London Has Fallen. In Blue Falcon, Murphy will play a retired superspy who goes to his son's wedding and finds himself in close proximity to his arch-rival.

The film will be produced by John Davis, Cliff Roberts, and Murphy and Charisse Hewitt-Webster.

Among the projects Murphy is currently working on is a collaboration with Bill Condon about the life of Parliament Funkadelic founder George Clinton.
