The Inditex-owned retail chain Lefties is opening a new store next year near Madrid's Gran Vía, on Montera Street. The 5,000 square-meter space will be the brand's largest store in the world.

The store looks to open its doors in early 2025, according to Spanish newspaper El Economista, which added that the store will be located in a building developed by the Mexican Díaz-Estrada family. The complex has a total surface area of 15,000 square meters and connects the buildings located at numbers 25-27 and 29-31 of the aforementioned Montera street.
The store opening is part of the Inditex group's retail reorganization plan announced in 2025, which involves reducing its number of stores and opting to open large flagship stores instead.
The Spanish conglomerate shut down its Pull&Bear store on Madrid's Gran Vía last April, where it still operates a Lefties store that will soon be closed and occupied by Nike. The Inditex group's low-cost fashion chain also has another store in the area on Carretas Street.
In parallel to these closures, the group has invested in large scale stores such as the Zara store in Plaza España in Madrid (next to Gran Vía), where a 1,000-square-meter Zara Home point-of-sale was also recently opened.
Lefties was founded in 1999 as a Zara outlet but has evolved to become a brand with its own separate identity. A few months ago, in the Diagonal Mar shopping center in Barcelona, Lefties opened a store strongly committed to digitization. This retail concept will most likely be incorporated into the new space on Montera Street.
