Calvin Klein is in store opening mode in the UK/Ireland market. As well as unveiling its new Caledonia Park outlet store that we covered earlier this week, it has opened at Dalton Park and at Blanchardstown Centre.

The Dalton Park debut is also an outlet store (the Global Mutual-managed destination is the North East’s largest outlet shopping destination) and has arrived as part of the asset manager’s strategy to diversify the tenant mix.

The new store stocks a range of denim, underwear, and loungewear items for men and women with discounts off the RRP of up to 50%. The store has become one of the centre’s most successful openings to date with sales at the outlet up 21% during opening week and up by 47% on one single day.

The label arrived on the back of Global Mutual’s plan to diversify its designer offering and widen its appeal. This helped sales there rise 14.5% last year.

As for Blanchardstown Centre, Calvin Klein has opened a space on level 2 of the Dublin mall, which is said to be the city’s largest retail and leisure destination.

The new location has a 10-year lease and covers 2,600 sq ft in total. Neighbouring retailers are menswear brand Fields and Ireland’s largest Zara. Other openings there in recent months include Nike Unite, Flannels and Lego.

Sharon Walsh, Leasing Director at Falcon AM, asset manager for Blanchardstown Centre, said Calvin Klein will further broaden the location’s its luxury fashion offer “speaking directly to demand from our catchment. The store will act as a real draw as we enter the festive shopping period. The Irish market more broadly remains resilient.”
