As the opening of London’s latest major retail development draws ever closer, the company behind Battersea Power Station has announced a raft of new brands that have signed up, including a number of big names.

New brands joining the line-up from this autumn include Mulberry, Lululemon, Theory, Castore, Hackett, Sweaty Betty and Ace + Tate.

Also newly announced are Levi’s, Pinko, Petit Pli, Superdry, IWC, a raft of brands under the Watches of Switzerland umbrella, David Clulow, and luxury jeweller Rox with its first store to open in London.

The inclusion of brands such as Lululemon, Castore and Sweaty Betty is particularly significant given that fitness is key for the massive development as will also include a 28,000 sq ft club run by London fitness brand Third Space.

Some 90% of the commercial space in Battersea Power Station is now let with 85% of the retail and leisure space exchanged or under offer. Further hospitality and dining concepts will be announced shortly alongside a mix of independent and upcoming brands from around the globe.

Simon Murphy, CEO at Battersea Power Station Development Company (BPSDC), said: “The countdown to the Power Station opening its doors to the public for the first time in history is well and truly on. From this autumn, local residents, Londoners and visitors from further afield will be able to see for themselves how the Grade II listed landmark has been transformed into a retail and leisure destination like no other.”
