Consumer financier Klarna has expanded its partnership with Boohoo Group to bring its BNPL ‘Pay in 3’ scheme to the online fashion retailer’s customers in Ireland.

Through the expanding partnership, Irish online shoppers at Boohoo Group’s brands, including Boohoo, BoohooMan, PrettyLittleThing, Dorothy Perkins and Nasty Gal, “will now have the option to split any purchase into three interest-free installments and enjoy a smoother shopping experience online”.
Klarna says the expansion follows the success of its partnership with Boohoo Group across global markets, including the UK, US and Germany “and comes at a time of increased consumers’ expectations when it comes to online shopping”.
Klarna’s data claims to show that 85% of Irish consumers believe retailers need to invest in new technology to meet their evolving expectations, especially in frictionless payments (49%).
Sam Brocklebank, Trading Director at Boohoo Group, said: “This partnership means we can offer our customers in Ireland greater choice in terms of payment options, allowing them the flexibility to manage their purchasing in a way that works best for them.”
In June, Klarna also expanded its Irish partnership with H&M, extending its ‘Pay in 3’ option there. H&M members (those belonging to its free membership scheme) “now have access to a simpler and smoother shopping experience online, with greater flexibility and control over how they pay”, it said.
