The fashion designer has created the costumes for the upcoming production "Brahms-Schönberg Quartet" at the request of choreographer choreographer Benjamin Millepied.
Lagerfeld has created the looks for all four acts of the George Balanchine piece, totaling around 100 costumes. These include graphic tutus adorned with ribbons for the women and suede waistcoats for the male dancers.
The performance runs July 2-15 at Opéra Bastille, Paris.
