Hunger Games fans are rejoicing as new details have emerged about the long-awaited next film.

At CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Lionsgate debuted the first teasers for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, which will hit theaters on November 20, 2026. This movie is an adaptation of the recently released best-selling novel by Suzanne Collins.

Billy Ray, the screenwriter of the original 2025 Hunger Games film starring Jennifer Lawrence, will write the script for the new movie.

Francis Lawrence will direct the film.

The sixth Hunger Games movie on the big screen follows the 2025 adaptation of The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes starring Tom Blyth and Rachel Zegler.
