Designer Rebecca Minkoff is embarking on a new venture - into the beauty arena.
As confirmed by WWD, the style maven -- whose empire already includes handbags, accessories, footwear, apparel, eyewear, luggage, tech accessories and swimwear -- has now signed a licensing deal with The Premiere Group to expand, starting with perfume.
Minkoff's first fragrance is expected to launch in fall 2025, according to The Premiere Group, however, while the plan is for Minkoff to launch fragrance first, the deal is a multiyear partnership which is expected to grow into makeup and other beauty & wellness areas.
The Premiere Group, which is a subsidiary of the Perfume Center of America, recently signed another licensing deal with Monique Lhuillier, which is also planning to launch fragrance in 2025.
