After two years marked by the pandemic, Milan's real estate sector is buzzing, especially in conjunction with the luxury industry, with a number of highly anticipated projects being developed. Among them, the one overseen by the Ferragamo family, via its hotel management company Lungarno Collection, which will open a five-star hotel in an area extending over 10,000 square meters in the heart of Milan. The complex will host various businesses, including renowned multi-brand fashion retailer Antonia, as sources told FashionNetwork.com.

The magnificent property, nestling within a centuries-old set of buildings within Milan's luxury shopping district, is at the moment only accessible via an alley from the Corso Venezia side. It was once home to the Milan Archbishopric's seminary, and features a double colonnade surrounding a vast courtyard serving as a central square, which extends over nearly 3,000 square meters. Salvatore Ferragamo is expected to show its new collection there during the forthcoming Milan fashion week.
The building was built in 1564 as one of the oldest seminaries in Europe. Unused since 2002, it is now undergoing extensive renovation work. The project has been commissioned to architect Michele de Lucci, and the complex is expected to become fully operational by the end of 2025.
Ferragamo plans to create a luxury and lifestyle hub in this central Milanese location. The complex will host Ferragamo's third hotel, after those opened in Florence and Rome, alongside a gourmet restaurant, a wellness centre, a huge garden, and a few highly exclusive stores. Among them iconic multi-brand fashion retailer Antonia, which will be the retailers second store in Milan.
