L Catterton’s France-based Jott label has opened its first store in London, occupying a space at 103 Marylebone Hight Street, not far from the heart of the West End.

Company chief Didier Lalance said that London “is a priority in the international development of Jott, and Marylebone is the first opening of many more to come in the UK in the next few months. We are delighted to open our first store in the UK, especially in such a premium location than Marylebone, which will be followed by a store in Battersea Power Station and more projects next year in other UK prime locations.”
Calling out BPS like that also underlines the major importance of the power station’s opening to prime retail in London.
To accompany those store openings, it’s also launching a UK e-commerce platform with deliveries in two to four days.
The company has almost 130 stores in France and has opened around 30 new locations this year with more planned, particularly accelerating its Paris openings.
By the end of this year, it should have around 60 stores in nine countries and around 1,500 concessions in 25 markets.
As well as the UK, it’s expanding in Switzerland, Germany, the Benelux countries, Spain and Portugal and also sees China as a key opportunity with plans for 23 shops by year end.

The outerwear brand is owned by the private equity firm that’s backed by LVMH and was founded in 2010 in Marseille. It’s best known for its lightweight down jacket — offered in as many as 20 colours — as well as for its display of the jacket on an eye-catching wall of jacket carrying-pouches in its concept stores.
Given the onset of cold weather and surging energy prices, the fact that the jackets can be worn comfortably indoors as well as out make this a good time to launch into London.
